Assessment Services

We offer thorough and comprehensive assessments that typically take place in our sensory space, with the options of us coming to your home and/or school. We use a range of standardised and non-standardised assessment tools, observation, and detailed parental and teacher interviews in order to provide a detailed report.

The report is personalised to the needs of your child and contains a range of recommendations and advice. If we feel it is needed then we will recommend Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) needs/strengths, provision and outcomes.

The primary focus of the assessment is to understand the child’s/young persons's sensory difficulties along with their sensory processing needs, and how this might be impacting on everyday life skills and regulation.

Some of the assessment tools we use are:

  • Movement ABC

  • Ayres Clinical Observations (Trauma Informed).

  • Sensory Processing Measure (2nd Edition)

  • Beery-Buktenica Developmental Test of Visual-Motor Integration

  • The Assessment of Motor and Process Skills (AMPS)

  • Evaluation of Ayres Sensory Integration (EASI)

  • Structured Observations of Sensory Integration-Motor (SOSI-M) and Comprehensive Observations of Proprioception (COP-R)

  • (Child) Occupational Self-Assessment
